Grounds Crew Leader | camp-manitou

Responsible for the maintenance and housekeeping program of the Eau Claire YMCA Camp Manitou facilities and equipment.

Position Responsibilities

Organize and supervise daily work schedule for all grounds crew personnel and volunteers.
Performs construction and maintenance operations such as painting, carpentry work, plumbing, masonry or concrete work and minor electrical repair.
Responsible for repair, maintenance and upkeep of all camp buildings, equipment and grounds.
Work closely with the Assistant Facility Director to order all maintenance and housekeeping supplies.
Maintain buildings and grounds to American Camping Association accreditation standards, Wisconsin State Licensing regulations and YMCA standards.
Assist with training and evaluating grounds crew members.
Provide written evaluations for grounds crew members at the end of their contractual first week and final week.
Assist with camp programming.
Assist with various needs of camp with the direction of Camp Administration.
Maintain camper's wellbeing and safety when in public or working with public providers.
Other job-related duties as may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position.
All Support Staff are highly involved with the camper experience throughout their contracted stay at Camp Manitou. This involves supporting counselors in varying activity areas and evening activities, as well as responsibility for the care and wellbeing of all campers.
Other duties that support other Support Staff areas.
