Videographer Position

​

Responsible for the administration of the camp video/DVD and archiving camp pictures. Responsible for requisitioning all supplies, maintaining and operating the camp DVD, maintaining all archive and present camp pictures. 

 

Position Responsibilities​​

• Present the new session DVD every Friday evening.

• Maintain video and camp pictures on computer.

• Work with the camp’s store with orders of each weeks DVD’s.

• Maintain camp computers, internet access and all video equipment.

• Monitor costs associated with video and DVD producing. Continually assess the most cost-effective supplies, video, DVD and computer needs.

• Note and assist with repairs or replacing broken items.

• Obtain order forms, send out DVD and organize orders each week.

• Help run camp store during check-in, greeting guests in a warm and friendly manner.

• Maintain professional appearance, attitude and demeanor for duration of employment.

• Organize photos from each session to be used for promotional pieces.

• Help operate store as needed.

• Maintain campers' wellbeing and safety when in public or working with public providers.

• Be well acquainted and assist with the camp’s emergency procedures.

• All Support Staff are highly involved with the camper experience throughout their contracted stay at Camp Manitou. This involves supporting counselors in varying activity areas and evening activities, as well as responsibility for the care and well-being of all campers.

• Other job-related duties as may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position.

• Help as needed to operate store and with other duties that support other Support Staff areas.

Qualifications- Required​​

• Attend and assist in staff training

• Upon hire, obtain CPR/AED/First Aid certification

 

​Qualifications- Preferred

• Recommended to be 21 years of age

• Lifeguard certification 

• Experience with photography, videography, Illustrator, Final Cut and/or Adobe Premier

• Boaters safety certification

• Exemplary driving record with a commitment to take vehicle safety course at camp in order to drive camp vehicles

• *We strongly prefer candidates to have at least 3 of the 5 qualifications
