Camp Activities & Games

Fish Bowl- Pass out small pieces of scratch paper to everyone and have them write questions that they would like to know about each other. What is your favorite color, spirit animal, special talent (etc.)? Then have them fold it and put it in a bowl. Take turns asking a question from the bowl and everyone gets a turn to respond.

Mafia-There has to be more than 5 players and a leader. Everyone in the game is either a townsperson, Mafia, or Detective. The leader says "townspeople go to sleep and everyone closes their eyes" Then the leader chooses the mafia by tapping them on the shoulder. Next they choose the detective. The leader says, "Mafia wake up, who would you like to kill?" The mafia points to another player and then the leader says, "Mafia go to sleep." Then the leader says, "Detective wake up, who would you like to save?" The detective points to any player or themselves. Then the leader says, "Detective, go to sleep...Everyone wake up!" Then they inform the players who is dead. Example: "Last night Betsy was blobbing and the Water Gouger swam up and ate her!" If the Detective saves the same player that the Mafia plans to kill, then NO ONE dies. The townspeople are able to nominate who they think is Mafia and the townspeople vote. If the player with the most votes is the Mafia... yay, the townspeople win! If the player they vote for is not the Mafia, then that player is out and everyone goes back to sleep for another round. When people are out they can watch but they can't make hints to their fellow players.

Honey, If You Love Me, Won't You Please, Please Smile?: All players sit in a circle. The IT person must approach one player and utter the magic phrase without touching the other person. If the other person can't say, "Honey I Love You But I Just Can't Smile" without cracking a grin, they are IT. If they smile, IT must choose someone else.

Arts & Crafts

Pet Rocks with Liz- Pet rocks are exactly what they sound like! They are rocks that are transformed into whatever you want them to be.I love my new pet rocks because they are unique, require little maintenance, and have added some silliness to my apartment! Here is how I made mine:
While I was on a walk around my neighborhood, I stopped at the park across the street from my apartment. There I found a handful of rocks that looked like they wanted to be my pet. Places to look for rocks could include parks, sidewalks, on nature trails, on the side of the street, gardens, and many other places! Before rock hunting make sure to talk with your trusted adult and get permission and maybe even some help from them. We love the buddy/truddy system even at home!
I brought my rocks home and washed them and my hands. From there I looked for any fun craft supplies I had. Supplies could include paints, sharpie markers, string or yarn, pipe cleaners, googly eyes, glue, colored paper, stickers, cardboard… anything you can find! I used glue, googly eyes, some clear tape and a sharpie to make my new friends! Here are pictures of them to give you an idea. Mine are super simple! Use your imagination to make yours as goofy and crazy as you’d like.
