Dear Parents,
Each and every summer beginning in 1923, kids from the Chippewa Valley have packed their bags and headed to the shores of Long Lake. They return each summer to experience the long held traditions of our camps - singing by the campfire, swimming, skit night, mud hike, making a candle for a new friend or watching a sunset with a favorite counselor by the lake. Each summer Eau Claire YMCA Camp Manitou has provided campers a chance to learn new skills, gain selfconfidence, create friendships, and cooperate with fellow cabin mates.
We know you have many choices for your child’s summer vacation. We think Manitou is the camp you will choose to provide a safe and worthwhile experience for your child. Manitou is a special place with a staff selected for the caring and positive qualities that you want your child to emulate. With our quality programs and facilities, the staff takes every opportunity to inspire each camper, encourage their character development and help them walk away with a better understanding of themselves and the world around them.
More than anything we want each and every camper to have fun and enjoy being a kid. Our YMCA heritage guides our mission. We strive for each child to grow in wisdom,stature, and to increase in their spiritual and social development. This summer the entire Manitou staff looks forward to creating and sharing lifetime memories and the spirit of Camp Manitou. See you all this summer.
